Geological setting and mineral system The prospect sits in the Woolomin Beds of the southern New England Orogen — polydeformed, highly siliceous metasediments with green schists, jaspers, cherts and tuffaceous interbeds — a belt that hosts structurally controlled orogenic gold and antimony–gold mineralisation elsewhere (R00029633; R00029598). Mt Edith
Geological setting and mineral system Mt Edith is a low-sulphidation epithermal Au–Ag–Sb system in the Alum Mountain Volcanics at the northern closure of the Myall Syncline, southern New England Orogen — one of three documented epithermal prospects on a 25 km corridor classified in the open-file record as expressions of a single regional hydrothermal system (Nethery & Jenkins 1988, R00005384). Cells Creek
Geological setting and mineral system The project sits in the Central Block of the New England Orogen and holds two gold occurrences ~1.6 km apart: the Cells Creek shear- and quartz-vein workings in Silurian metasediments, and the Oakbourne disseminated pyrite–gold prospect in altered high-K augite andesite whose albite–stilpnomelane–epidote assemblage Clutha reinterpreted as pre-metamorphic hydrothermal alteration (Temby 1994, R00001546). Morton Deep
Geological setting and mineral system Hastings Block, eastern New England Orogen: granitoid-related Cu–Pb–Zn–Ag–Au–Sn–W mineralisation in Permian Beechwood Formation limestone–mudstone above the inferred Cairncross Adamellite heat source (government classification: "granitoid-related deposit", Gilligan & Brownlow 1987, R00009339).
